Book Two In The Maggie Hunt Series Is Underway

Book two in the Maggie Hunt series is well underway!

I decided to save the remaining two promo days to coordinate with the release of the second book, and will keep you updated right here on the blog.

Until then, I think it's important for you to know that Maggie has really gotten herself into a bind - and in very close quarters - with not one but TWO Navy SEALS!

If you thought Chase drove her crazy, wait until you read this...

He held her eyes.  Her stomach felt all squeamish, and Maggie let out a slow exhale.

   Insightful little bugger, isn’t he, she thought as she pulled her eyes away from the magnetic pull of his, and handed him the key. 

    There was an electric current as her hand briefly touched his, and she pulled her hand back fast, wide eyes flying back up to his.

    He was as surprised as she was at the energy that passed between them, but a trained SEAL never shows emotion; and he looked as calm, cool and collected as ever as he turned away and walked toward the door.

    She felt bereft, empty, and more than a little foolish.  She knew he was well aware of the impact he was having on her.

    Still, she couldn’t help appreciating his broad, well-built shoulders, fit body, and sexy confidence as he walked away.  She felt her cheeks turning red as he looked back briefly, a mischievous grin turning the corners of his mouth up oh so slightly, and a wicked sparkle in those azure blue eyes.       

 Poor Maggie!  If you read book one, The Secret Cove, you know that she doesn't like surprises and she definitely hates being out of control.  A new twist in her life has brought all of that to the forefront, and to say she's struggling is putting it mildly.

Free Promo Day...Bust

Saturday, June 23 was a scheduled free promo day for "The Secret Cove" and marketed on several of the free kindle ebook sites across the web.  I apologize to those of you who planned to pick it up on Saturday because it was not listed as free due to an Amazon KDP error.

I emailed Amazon's KDP department immediately when I saw that it wasn't listed as free in Kindle, as it should have been.  They emailed me back acknowledging their error (apparently I wasn't the only author impacted), however at that point it was too late to do anything for the people hoping to pick it up for free.

To compensate, I will list the book for free in Kindle this weekend for two days -- June 29 and June 30th.  Please plan to pick it up then!

I have made some minor revisions to the book, so if you downloaded it or purchased it immediately after it launched, please let me know below and I'll be sure to get an updated copy to you.  Just leave your Amazon email here in the comments or email me at katebellevue@gmail.com if you prefer to keep your email private (always a good idea).  Or, download the book this weekend on a free promo day.   :)

How I Use Product Creator Pro as an Author

As a writer and self-published author, the responsibility for marketing falls on my shoulders once my book is published.

One of the best tools I've found to help expand my book's reach is Product Creator Pro by Ronnie Nimjeh.  You can create stunning documents, newsletters and even format books for Kindle with the push of a few buttons - literally.


I love the Product Creator Pro ("PCP") product.  I can't tell you how many other writers, and even my friends, have told me how professional my publications and documents look.  I'm not an affiliate of their product, yet I tell many writers and offline marketers about this product, and the ease with which I can create professional documents and publications.


I can attribute many of my sales to PCP indirectly because I use this program to publish "Sneak Peeks" of my chapters on document sharing sites.  As the view numbers on the doc sharing sites increase, so do my sales!  Here's an example of a PCP document on Scribd.com for my debut novella, The Secret Cove.

I have this on other doc sharing sites, as well.  Below is a snapshot of the stats, and I can correlate these "reads" with sales!

In the past, formatting a newsletter or publication would take literal hours of my time.  Now, I can easily complete a document (with revisions, if needed) in 15 minutes from start to finish, and sometimes less.

Six Sentence Sunday - Kindle Book 'The Secret Cove'

 It's 'Six Sentence Sunday.'  Although I am new to this, I'm going to take a wild leap here and assume that it's a chance for  authors to share six sentences from their books.

Here's six sentences from my first contemporary romance novel, The Secret Cove:

   “Chase!”  She called, “My foot is stuck!”  He quickly crossed the sandbar and knelt beside her to take a look.

    “Are you hurt?” he asked.   

   “No.” Maggie replied, “My foot is wedged in there, but I didn’t twist it;  apart from being stuck, it’s actually fine.”

   Gently, Chase tried to place his fingers near her anklebone to see if he could create some space for her to wiggle free.

   Maggie tried to stifle her gasp from the sensations his touch created, and ignore the familiar feelings coursing through her body.  Focus, she mentally chided herself.

Day one of the release of "The Secret Cove" on Amazon Kindle has far exceeded what I could have imagined!

Thank you to everyone that downloaded the book today (and those that will download tomorrow).  As of right now, it is #46 in the Contemporary Romance category, out of thousands of books!  There have been well over 600+ downloads today and I am excited to hear from many of you.
